Centering Down

I remember a bible study group that I attended in Colorado that was called "Centering Down". It was led by Priscilla, the only Priscilla I have ever known. She was a dynamo of a person and a magnet to so many people.

The formula for her success eludes me presently. She seemed to have a God given ability to attract people. Her personality and undying devotion was a force to admire.

Throughout the years of her opening her home to so many people I was blessed with meeting and befriending so many wonderful God loving, following, passionate human beings!

The many faceted study styles opened up new and challenging ideas and concepts and gave us all a new perception of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We all were inspired and driven to know and experience more. The "Centering Down" was so true to all that was experienced there.

Pursuit of Knowledge

We are all inspired to dig deeeper into our understanding and and depth of what we know. It is a human trait to want to better understand and interact with this world we live in and all it has to offer.

God provided us with an endless amount of enviroment to explore and all its mysteries to try and discover. There is not enough time in any humans life to see and understand it all. This is the very essence of God! We can never fully know or understand God.

That is why it is so exciting and alluring. We as humans thrive on the unknown and mysteries of this world. God gives us ample oppurtunity to explore all that glory!

Every time we meet as a group of believers we are reminded of that God given gift. We are presented with new and exciting thoughts and information. Praise God for all that he offers us to learn about.

The Basics of Life

In a world of so many things with good and bad all around us we are pulled in so many directions. It is hard to stay on track and follow the path of a Jesus led life!

I dont know how we can all avoid the many persuasive and powerful worldy distractions. I do know that it is even more important that we work towards a more disciplined and God driven desire and action in our lives. The bible has many stories of man being led astray.

Our humanness often gets us in trouble and leaves us to our own folly. Christ like thinking and Christ like action , devotion, prayer, and ministry are all exceptional in keeping us on track and in the word with and for God.

1 Corinth 14: 1-5

Following God Daily

It takes a certain amount of devotion and dedication to follow God in all we say and do. Our present world is just chocked full of so many alternatives and options to draw our attention. We can find ourselves a little overwhelmed at all the possibilities.

If we look at Jesus's teachings we will find that the core of his ministry was for us to drop what we are doing and leave behind unnecessary things and follow him. The thought of leaving our comfort zone and giving all we have to Jesus might seem a little too much but it was then, and still is today, the way to a better understanding and relationship with God.

Renewal of God in our daily lives.

New Beginnings: Here is the start of a whole new chapter in my life with God expressed in words, thoughts, prayers, and time quietly spent with God. It's been quite a while since I posted on this particular way of fellowship and praying and connecting with God.

We all have our gifts from God and after rereading my Devotions from 2009,2010,2011, I realized that God has definately gifted me with a most wonderful and useful talent. I am so thankful for our present churches"Pastor Cameron "to be a huge influence in me returning to writing and listening to Gods word. This is truly a way God can reach out and encourage and work in me.  Amen
